FACTORY INFORMATION:
For us, it's imperative and a non-negotiable that all of our raw material suppliers meet the social and material compliance standards. When talking about sustainability, we feel it can be summarized with one word - responsibility.
At the core of our identity lies a deep commitment to responsibility in manufacturing. We believe in upholding this principle not only by meeting surface-level standards such as AQL, but also by valuing the well-being and dignity of the individuals involved in our products. As we move forward, it is imperative that we prioritize responsibility towards our planet, making sustainability a paramount concern. The recent focus on sustainability has shed light on the significant waste and toxicity generated by our industry. While we have always strived to adopt environmentally beneficial innovations, it is now time for the entire industry to surpass the ordinary and actively minimize the waste produced during production. Here, we are taking additional measures to reduce waste, decrease toxicity, and utilize responsibly sourced raw materials for the production of fiber, yarn, and fabric.
In our efforts to minimize toxicity, we are actively involved in utilizing a low water ratio when dyeing indigo on fabric. By doing so, we not only conserve water but also significantly reduce the usage of chemicals, thereby minimizing the treatment required for wastewater.
To further reduce toxicity, we have taken another step in the cultivation of cotton. ALL the fresh cotton in our collection is guaranteed to be at least BCI cotton. The Better Cotton Initiative serves as a reputable benchmark for farms that adhere to approved pesticide usage and employ only the required amount necessary for efficient cotton growth. In the absence of such a governing standard before, pesticides were often excessively utilized, leading to the infiltration of harmful toxins into the soil.
